  The staff were friendly and extremely helpful the atmosphere and history of this hotel was very interesting. Very clean and comfortable. If you are looking for a hotel with lots of Character and charm then this is the place to be. We enjoyed our stay here and are happy to recomnend we would not hesitate to re visit

  Very interesting hotel with individually styled rooms. Well positioned for Ferry Port. Lovely staff especially the lady who greeted us for breakfast. Car park is a bonus if you can get on it as it is small.

  We stayed at this grand hotel for one night, we were up in Plymouth to see a show at the Pavilions. This hotel is PERFECT for location, food and service if you're visiting Plymouth for the pavilions, in fact I'd quite happily come back whatever the reason for the visit was. The staff from the receptionists to the waiters, the barman and the night porter, they were all so friendly and welcoming and made me feel very looked after, it was like stepping back in time when service was the USP of any hotel. The hotel itself is a treat to walk around and you can feel and read about the history oozing out of every wall. The food was excellent in the restaurant, especially the "pre-show" menu! I look forward to the next time we visit Plymouth!
